Benton County, Oregon
Benton County is in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. This place is one of the top grass seed producers on the planet. But it’s not all about lawn care here.
Corvallis is the county seat and is home to Oregon State University. It’s the most educated counted with more PhDs per capita. Beavers rule. Both the OSU mascot and the furry dam-builders.
The coast is just an hour’s drive west, making weekend beach trips a breeze. Marys Peak, the highest point in the Coast Range, has stunning views on clear days. The county is named after Thomas Hart Benton, a Missouri senator.
