State Counties

Virginia has 95 counties, plus 38 independent cities that function like counties. Most states don’t have this city-county split.

There are 39 counties in the Evergreen State. Rainforests on the Olympic Peninsula, volcanoes like Mount Rainier, and the Puget Sound.

The Mountain State is carved up into 55 counties. You’ve got the Appalachians running through it, with valleys, forests, and rivers.

There are 72 counties in America’s Dairyland which is a good number for a state its size. They consist of forests, bluffs and the Great Lakes

Wyoming is split into 23 counties, which isn’t a lot, but then again, the whole state only has about as many people as Milwaukee.
