The Pioneer Valley’s got a special vibe, and Hampshire County is right in the middle of it. You’ll find it in western Massachusetts, sandwiched between Franklin and Hampden counties.
Northampton is the county seat. It’s a cool college town with a thriving arts scene. Speaking of colleges, there are five of them here, including Smith and Amherst.
