Kings County, California
Kings County is right in the middle of the Central Valley. It’s flat farmland as far as the eye can see. Specifically, the county is big on dairy and cotton.
Hanford is the biggest town. They have this cool old Carnegie Library that’s worth a look. There’s a Navy air station here that trains fighter pilots.
Interstate 5 runs along the western edge, but Highway 198 cuts through the heart of the county. This is really how to connect the dots between small towns and vast farmlands.
