Madison County lies just north of Jackson, Mississippi. It’s in the middle of Mississippi, about as central as you can get. The county’s named after James Madison, fourth U.S. president and Father of the Constitution.
You’ll find a mix of everything here. It has rolling hills, flat farmland, and suburban areas. Ridgeland has some great shopping if that’s your thing. Madison’s the spot for families looking for good schools and quiet neighborhoods.

Madison County features rolling hills and wide ridges. Though not mountainous, the land rises and falls often. Rich soils fill the valleys, making it good for farming. Upland areas provide beautiful overlooks, especially near the Pearl River basin.
