Monroe County sits in western New York, straddling Lake Ontario and the Genesee River. It’s home to Rochester, the state’s third-largest city and a hub of innovation. The county has a rich history in photography and imaging, thanks to Kodak and Xerox.
Monroe County also has the Strong National Museum of Play. The Erie Canal runs through the county so you can see New York’s industrial past.
