Providence County, Rhode Island

Let’s talk Providence County. It’s the big kahuna of Rhode Island counties in the north. Population-wise, more than half the state lives here. Providence, the capital city, is right in the middle. It’s got some serious college academics thanks to Brown and RISD.
Providence County stretches north to the Massachusetts border and west with Connecticut. You’ve got old mill towns like Pawtucket and Woonsocket. The ‘burbs are booming, including places like Cumberland and Lincoln.
It’s a diverse county, no doubt. They’ve seen better days, but they’re scrappy. Urban, suburban, even some rural spots. Providence County’s got its issues, sure. But it’s the engine that drives Rhode Island.
