Wood County, Ohio

Wood County sits in northwestern Ohio, just south of Toledo. Bowling Green, home to Bowling Green State University, is the county seat. The National Tractor Pulling Championships are held here every year. It’s quite a spectacle.
The county has a rich agricultural heritage. Oil was discovered here in the late 1800s, leading to an economic boom. These days, it’s a mix of rural areas and college-town vibes.
The Black Swamp Arts Festival is a big draw. Interstate 75 runs right through the county so it’s perfect for commuting to Toledo. Wood County has managed to preserve its rural feel while embracing progress.
