Brule County, South Dakota

Brule County is close to the middle of South Dakota, but in the southeast region. The Missouri River runs along its western edge. It’s mostly farmland, with some pretty epic views of the river valley.
Chamberlain is the biggest town and county. They’ve got a giant statue of a Native American woman that’s pretty impressive. Fishing is a big deal here. So is hunting.
The county’s named after a Sioux tribe, but most folks here are of European descent now. You’ll find some of the friendliest people around in Brule County. Just don’t expect much in the way of nightlife. Or traffic. Or crowds. It’s South Dakota, after all.
