Maryland Counties

Montgomery County is just north of D.C, both urban and suburban. It’s one of Maryland’s most populous areas, home to Rockville and Bethesda.

Prince George’s County sits east of Washington, D.C.. It’s home to the University of Maryland, a major hub for education and innovation.

Queen Anne’s County is coastal life with a laid-back vibe. It’s on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, just across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Down on Maryland’s Eastern Shore is Somerset County. It’s the state’s southernmost county, with plenty of waterfront along the Chesapeake Bay.

At the southern tip of Maryland, St. Mary’s County is where the Potomac River meets the Chesapeake Bay. It’s the birthplace of Maryland.

Talbot County is on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The county is famous for its smaller towns like Easton and St. Michaels.

Washington County, Maryland, lies at the northern tip of the state, bordering both Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

On Maryland’s Eastern Shore, you’ll find Wicomico County. This is where the Wicomico River winds its way through small towns and farmland.

Worcester County is down on Maryland’s southeastern tip. It has the state’s only seaside resort, Ocean City with sun, sand, and surf.
