Dillon County, South Carolina

Dillon County is in the northeastern corner of South Carolina. It borders North Carolina. Agriculture is a big deal here with lots of tobacco fields.
The Great Pee Dee River forms its western border with good spots for fishing and kayaking. Dillon, the county seat, has a nice historic district worth exploring.
You can’t miss South of the Border, that kitschy roadside attraction right off I-95. It’s cheesy, but it’s part of what makes this place unique. The locals are friendly. They’ll strike up a conversation with anyone.
