Manatee County, Florida
Manatee County is on Florida’s Gulf Coast, just south of Tampa Bay. Bradenton, the county seat, blends old Florida charm with new development. It’s named after the Manatee River, which cuts through the county.
Anna Maria Island draws beach lovers with its laid-back vibe and sugar-sand shores. You’ll find a mix of retirees, families, and snowbirds here. The county has a rich agricultural heritage, still visible in its eastern parts.
While IMG Academy brings young athletes from all over the world, Robinson Preserve is a hidden gem for nature lovers. Traffic can be a pain, especially during tourist season. But Manatee County balances coastal living with a touch of country. It’s Florida without the theme parks, but with plenty of natural attractions.
