Powell County, Montana

Powell County is located in the west-central part of the state, not too far from Missoula. Deer Lodge, the county seat, has a cool old prison that’s now a museum.
Winters are no joke though. Locals bundle up and make the most of it with skiing and snowmobiling. There’s a bunch of ghost towns scattered around too, leftovers from the mining days.
If you’re into history, this place has got stories to tell. You’ll find some serious outdoor action here. The Blackfoot River runs through, perfect for fishing or just floating on a hot day. And the views? Man, those mountains don’t quit.
