Racine County, Wisconsin

Racine County borders Lake Michigan in southeast Wisconsin. This county has a bit of everything. The city of Racine is known for its Danish kringle pastries. Seriously, try one.
It’s an area with deep industrial roots, but there’s a push for new tech jobs too. Frank Lloyd Wright left his mark here with several buildings, including the SC Johnson headquarters. Racine’s North Beach is a part of the Great Lakes.
The county’s western half is more rural, with plenty of farms and orchards. Fishing is popular, whether you’re casting a line in Lake Michigan or one of the inland lakes. The Wind Point Lighthouse is a local icon. There’s a strong sense of community here, with lots of festivals and events throughout the year.
