Rockingham County is right in the middle of the Shenandoah Valley. It’s one of Virginia’s top agricultural producers. Endless fields of corn and soybeans stretch to the horizon.

The county surrounds the independent city of Harrisonburg, home to James Madison University. Massanutten Resort is a four-season playground for skiers and golfers.

The Rockingham County Fair is one of Virginia’s largest. Shenandoah National Park’s southern entrance is in the county. The views from Skyline Drive are unreal. Dayton, a small town in the county, has a thriving Mennonite community. Their handmade furniture is highly sought after.
