Sagadahoc County, Maine

Sagadahoc County might be the smallest county in Maine by area, but it packs a punch. Perched along the state’s central coast, it’s where the mighty Kennebec River meets the Atlantic.
Bath, the county seat, is known as the “City of Ships.” For good reason. The Bath Iron Works has been churning out Navy destroyers for over a century.
Popham Beach is a local favorite, with its long stretches of sand and views of offshore islands. The county’s not all coastal, though. Inland, you’ll find rolling hills, farms, and quiet forests.
