San Benito County, California
San Benito is this little county tucked between the Central Valley and the coast. Hollister is the main town. Not the clothing brand of course, the actual place.
There’s a ton of agriculture here, but it’s also got some cool state parks. Pinnacles National Park is partly in the county, which is great for hiking and rock climbing.
Highway 25 is the main route, winding through scenic countryside and connecting the area to the larger Bay Area. The population is around 70,000, giving it a rural, small-town feel despite its proximity to Silicon Valley.
