Perkins County sits in the northwestern corner of South Dakota. This county is mostly known for Lemmon with its unique Petrified Wood Park.

Union County is South Dakota’s southeastern-most county, wedged between Iowa and Nebraska. The Big Sioux River forms its eastern border.
