Roberts County, South Dakota

Roberts County is up in the northeastern corner of South Dakota. Lakes fill the landscape in Roberts County. Lake Traverse forms the northeastern border.
The county’s named after S.G. Roberts, a territorial governor. Sisseton is the largest town with a rich Native American heritage. Coteau des Prairies, a plateau, runs through the area. It’s subtle but beautiful.
It’s a close distance from Minnesota and North Dakota. Lake Traverse Reservation occupies almost the entire county. Winters here are no joke. But spring brings new life to the prairies. Farmers and ranchers make up a big part of the community. It’s a place where hard work is valued.
