Waseca County Map, Minnesota

Drive about an hour south of the Twin Cities and you’ll hit Waseca County, a patch of Minnesota that’s pure Midwest. Farming is key.

The St. Croix River forms the eastern border of Washington County, separating Minnesota from Wisconsin. Stillwater is the county seat.

Located in south-central Minnesota, Watonwan County is a place where small-town charm meets agricultural might. It’s not big.

Located in west-central Minnesota, Wilkin County is a place where the prairie meets the Red River Valley. It’s sparsely populated.

Winona County sits in the southeastern corner of Minnesota, hugging the Mississippi River. It’s a place with some seriously beautiful scenery.

Wright County is just northwest of the Twin Cities. It’s where the suburbs start to give way to farmland and lakes. This place is growing.

Southwest Minnesota is home to Yellow Medicine County. It’s named after the Yellow Medicine River, which flows through the area.

Adams County is in the southwest corner of Mississippi. It’s where history and nature collide. The Mighty Mississippi is its western border.

Alcorn County is in the northeast corner of Mississippi. This county might not be famous, but it’s got heart. Corinth is the county seat.

Amite County is in the southwest of Mississippi. Founded in 1809, it’s one of the oldest counties in the state. Liberty is the county seat.

Central Mississippi is home to Attala County. Oprah Winfrey’s Birthplace is here, close to Kosciusko (which is also the county seat).

Benton County sits in the north of Mississippi up against the Tennessee border. It’s a place that flies under the radar but that’s its charm.

The Mississippi Delta’s got a heart, and it’s called Bolivar County. Bolivar has two county seats – Cleveland and Rosedale.

Calhoun County sits in north-central Mississippi. It’s not a place you’ll find in most travel guides, but that’s just fine.

Carroll County is right in the heart of the Magnolia State. Carrollton is the county seat and it looks like it’s out of a Southern novel.
