Vinton County, Ohio

Vinton County is in the rugged hills of southeastern Ohio. It’s the least populous county in the state. But what it lacks in people, it makes up for in natural beauty. McArthur is the county seat, right in the center.
Tar Hollow State Forest and Wayne National Forest covers a good chunk of the area. Outdoorsy types love it here. Hiking, hunting, and fishing are big draws.
The county has a rich history in coal mining and logging. These days, tourism is becoming more important. The annual Wild Turkey Festival brings in visitors from all over. Vinton County is perfect if you want to get away from it all.
