Wyandot County, Ohio

Wyandot County is in north-central Ohio. It’s named after the Wyandot Native American tribe. Upper Sandusky is the county seat. But don’t let the name fool you, it’s not actually north of Sandusky.
The county has some fascinating history. The Wyandot Mission Church, the last Indian mission in Ohio, is here. Agriculture is a major part of life in Wyandot County. The annual Wyandot County Fair is a big event.
The Lincoln Highway, one of America’s first transcontinental roads, runs through here. It’s a place where you can really get a feel for small-town Midwest life. Wyandot County might be quiet, but it has plenty of stories to tell.
