York County, Virginia

York County is just a stone’s throw from Williamsburg. It’s part of the “Historic Triangle” with Williamsburg and Jamestown, drawing tons of tourists each year.
It’s steeped in colonial and Revolutionary War history and is where America basically won its independence. Yorktown, the county seat, was the site of the last major battle of the Revolutionary War. You can still visit the battlefield today.
But York County isn’t stuck in the past. The county stretches along the York River, offering great water views and activities. Fishing and boating are popular here. You’ll find good schools and a high quality of life. It’s no wonder the population’s been growing steadily.
