Birdwatchers, take note: Audubon County was named for the famed ornithologist John James Audubon. The 25-foot Albert the Bull statue in Audubon City is impossible to miss. It’s the world’s largest bull statue.
The Danish Villages of Kimballton and Elk Horn are just north of the county line. They’re actually the largest Danish settlements within the United States. They celebrate the area’s Scandinavian heritage with windmills and aebleskiver.
