Botetourt County, Virginia

Botetourt County is in the heart of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. This place has been around since before the United States was even a thing. Old. Really old. People here are proud of their roots.
Fincastle, the county seat, looks like it’s straight out of a history book. Seriously, some buildings there are older than your great-grandparents. They’ve got farms, wineries, and some killer views of the mountains.
The James River cuts through the county, perfect for kayaking if you’re into that. It’s the kind of place where you can still see the stars at night. No big city lights to get in the way. It’s pronounced “Bot-e-tot,” in case you were wondering.
