Craig County, Virginia

Craig County sits in the Appalachian Mountains of western Virginia. It’s small in population. Really small. But what it lacks in size, it makes up for in natural beauty.
The Jefferson National Forest covers a big chunk of the county. Outdoorsy types love it here, including hiking, camping, and fishing. It’s quiet most of the time.
New Castle, the only town, is tiny but friendly. Folks here know their neighbors. The county has a strong farming tradition. You’ll see plenty of cattle grazing on hillsides. But come fall, hunters arrive in droves. Craig County isn’t flashy, but it has heart.
