Brunswick County, Virginia

Brunswick County is down in southern Virginia, right up against the North Carolina border. Tobacco used to be king around here, but times change. Now it’s all about soybeans and other crops.
The county has three major lakes including Gaston, Buggs Island, and Meherrin. Fishermen love it. Small towns are everwhere here. It’s the kind of place where everybody knows everybody.
Locals swear by Brunswick stew, and they’ll tell you it was invented right here. Don’t argue with them about it. The county has been around since 1720, if you can believe it. There’s a lot of history in these parts. Slow-paced living at its finest.
