Lunenburg County, Virginia

Lunenburg County lies deep in the heart of Southside Virginia. The county’s small with just over 12,000 folks calling it home. Kenbridge and Victoria are the main towns.
Tobacco once reigned supreme here. You can still see old curing barns across the countryside. These days, it’s all about timber. Vast pine plantations stretch to the horizon.
You’ll find some of the friendliest people around. While the Nottoway River forms the county’s northern border, Meherrin River is along the southern border. On summer weekends, you’ll see canoes and kayaks drifting downstream. Time moves a little slower here. That’s just how the locals like it.
