Caledonia County, Vermont

Caledonia County occupies a chunk of northeastern Vermont, part of the area known as the Northeast Kingdom. It’s rural, rugged, and ridiculously beautiful. St. Johnsbury is the largest town and is home to the fascinating Fairbanks Museum.
The county is a paradise because of the lakes and ponds on the landscape. Moose and bear roam the forests. Burke Mountain offers great skiing in winter and mountain biking in summer.
It’s time to wake up and smell the maple syrup, because production is serious business here. The night skies are incredibly dark. Stargazers, take note. Fall brings leaf-peepers in droves. It’s a slice of Vermont that feels wonderfully wild and untamed.
