Clark County, Indiana

Clark Location Map Indiana

Clark County is right across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky. This county is known for Colonel Harland Sanders as the founder of KFC was born in Henryville. But it’s not just about finger-lickin’ good chicken.

This county has seen a lot of history. It was even the site of George Rogers Clark’s home. Deam Lake State Recreation Area is here. With its large lake surrounded by wooded areas, it’s ideal for swimming, picnicking, and fishing.

These days, it’s a mix of suburban and rural. The river is still important, but now it’s more about bridges and boats than battles. Clarksville and Jeffersonville are the big towns here. It’s not quite Kentucky, not quite Indiana. It’s its own thing.
