Comanche County, Oklahoma

Comanche County sits in southwestern Oklahoma, where the plains meet the Wichita Mountains. It’s a place of surprising contrasts.
Lawton is the county seat and is home to Fort Sill, a major Army post. The military has a huge presence here. But drive a few miles out of town, and you’re in bison country.
The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge is something else. Rugged peaks rise up from the prairie so visitors love this place. Hikers, climbers, and wildlife photographers come here year-round. Medicine Park is a quirky little town built and has become a tourist hotspot.
