Tillman County sits in the southwestern corner of Oklahoma, right up against the Texas border. It’s farm country with lots of wheat fields in the county. Cattle graze on open pastures.
The county seat is Frederick with a small-town vibe. Red dirt roads crisscross the landscape. While summers are blazing hot here, winters can be surprisingly chilly.
Despite its rural character, Tillman County has a rich history. Native American tribes once roamed these lands. Today, it’s a place of tradition and modern agriculture. Red River forms its southern border with Texas.
