Monroe County is down in the southeastern part of West Virginia. It’s a quiet place, perfect if you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle. The Appalachian Mountains dominate the landscape here. This area is just peaceful.

Farming is part of the local economy, including lots of cattle and sheep. The county seat, Union, is about as quaint as they come. Historians will love the old Civil War sites scattered around.
