Creek County is just southwest of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It’s named after the Creek tribe in 1907. The terrain is a mix of rolling hills and prairies.
Sapulpa serves as the county seat. It’s got a downtown with some beautiful art deco buildings. Lake Heyburn State Park is a popular spot for boating and fishing.
Oil played a big role in the county’s history so you can still see some pump jacks bobbing up and down in the fields. The county’s got a bit of everything. It has small towns, growing suburbs, and plenty of open space.
