Dodge County, Minnesota

Dodge County lies in the middle of southeastern Minnesota. Mantorville is the county seat, located in the east. The county’s named after Henry Dodge, a governor of Wisconsin Territory back in the day. Why not a Minnesotan?
The Zumbro River winds through the county, popular with kayakers. And if you’re into bird watching, head to Rice Lake State Park. It’s a stopover for thousands of waterfowl during migration seasons.
But let’s get this straight, it’s farm country here. Fields of corn and soybeans are everywhere, interrupted only by the occasional red barn or grain silo.
