Edmunds County, South Dakota

Edmunds County is in north-central South Dakota. Agriculture is the main industry here, just like most of the state. It’s named after Newton Edmunds, an early governor.
Ipswich, the biggest town, has less than a thousand people. But don’t let that fool you. There’s plenty going on. Hunting’s huge here, especially pheasants.
The county has some killer sunsets. Locals take pride in their German-Russian heritage. Winters are long, but summer brings county fairs and rodeos. If you’re looking for wide-open spaces, Edmunds County’s got ’em.
