Fulton County, New York

Fulton County is a piece of upstate New York that’s wedged between the Adirondacks and the Mohawk Valley. Leather and gloves put Fulton County on the map. Gloversville, once the glove-making capital of the world, still honors this heritage today.
The county is named after Robert Fulton, the steamboat pioneer. Visitors love the Great Sacandaga Lake for boating and fishing. You’ll find some great hiking trails in the Adirondack Park’s southern reaches.
The Johnstown Colonial Stroll is a summer highlight, bringing history to life. This happens in the county seat of Johnstown. The county has a nice arts scene, with galleries and studios across the landscape. Peck’s Lake is perfect for kayakers.
