Gilchrist County, Florida

Gilchrist County is a small, rural spot in north central Florida. It’s the state’s newest counties, formed in 1925. Trenton serves as the county seat. But it’s hardly a bustling metropolis.
The Suwannee River forms its western border. Springs are a big draw here, especially Ginnie Springs for diving and tubing. The nearby Santa Fe River is also popular for kayaking and canoeing.
Locals take pride in their small-town values and tight-knit community. Farming is still a major part of life in Gilchrist. You won’t find any big cities or beaches, just quiet country living.
