Jasper County, Mississippi

Jasper County is located in the middle of the state’s east side, nearly bordering Alabama. Bay Springs and Paulding are its two county seats.
Folks here are proud of their roots. The county’s been around since 1833. They named it after Sergeant William Jasper, a Revolutionary War hero.
The Bienville National Forest covers the northwest region. If you’re into history, check out the old courthouse in Bay Springs. It’s a beaut.
