Florida Counties

Suwannee County is in the northern part of Florida. The Suwannee River is the same one from the song, and forms its southern border.

Taylor County sits in the Big Bend region of Florida, along the Gulf Coast. It’s a place with forests and the sea. Perry is the county seat.

Union County is landlocked in north-central Florida. It’s Florida’s smallest county by land area. There’s not much for beaches here.

Volusia County is on Florida’s east coast, stretching from the Atlantic to the St. Johns River. Daytona Beach is the big draw here.

Wakulla County is located in Florida’s Panhandle. It’s just south of Tallahassee, but feels worlds away. The coast is wild and undeveloped.

Walton County is in the Florida Panhandle, known for its beaches and coastal dune lakes. DeFuniak Springs is the county seat here.

Washington County is a rural county that sits in the Panhandle, about 2 hours from Tallahassee. Chipley is the biggest town and county seat.
