Washington County is situated in southeastern Iowa. It’s where agriculture and community are key. Washington is the county seat.

Wayne County, in south-central Iowa, is a quiet, rural area. Corydon is the county seat and it has a strong sense of community.

Webster County is located in north-central Iowa. The Des Moines River cuts through diagonally. The county has industry and agriculture.

Winnebago County sits near Iowa’s northern border with Minnesota. Forest City is the county seat and it’s home to Winnebago Industries.

Winneshiek County nestles in Iowa’s northeast corner, named after a Winnebago chief. Decorah is the county seat and is home to Luther College.

Woodbury County stretches along Iowa’s western border, anchored by Sioux City. With 105,000 people, it’s Iowa’s seventh most populous county.

Worth County clings to Iowa’s northern border with Minnesota. It’s Iowa’s fourth-smallest county by area and one of its least populous.

Wright County sits in north-central Iowa. Wright County was once nicknamed the “Creamery Capital of Iowa” due to its dairy processing plants.

Guthrie County is in west-central Iowa, west of Des Moines. Guthrie Center is the county seat, located exactly in the center of the county.
