Deep in the heart of southern Mississippi lies Covington County. Agriculture still plays a big role in the local economy, with poultry farms.

DeSoto County is in northwest Mississippi, just south of Memphis. This is Mississippi’s fastest-growing corner.

Hancock County sits on the Gulf Coast in the south of Mississippi. It’s the westernmost county, bordering Louisiana.

The heart of Mississippi’s Gulf Coast beats in Harrison County. It stretches along the shoreline. Biloxi and Gulfport are the largest cities.

The heart of Mississippi beats strong in Hinds County. It’s where the state capital, Jackson, stands tall, which has a growing population.

Holmes County lies deep in the heart of the Mississippi Delta. The old ways still hold strong. Blues music echoes through the air.

Humphreys County is pure Delta. You’ll find it in the northwest part of Mississippi, where the land is flat and the cotton grows tall.

Issaquena County is the least populous county in Mississippi with just over 1,300 residents. You’ll find it in the western part of the state.

Itawamba County sits in the northeastern corner of Mississippi, bordering Alabama. The county’s named after a Chickasaw chief.

Jackson County is down on the Gulf Coast, bordering Alabama. Moss Point, Pascagoula, Ocean Springs, and Gautier make up its main cities.
