Chesterfield County is up in South Carolina’s northeastern corner. It’s right on the North Carolina border. The county’s got a lot of open space and farmland.
Peaches are a big deal here. They grow some of the sweetest you’ll ever taste. The Sand Hills State Forest covers a big chunk of the county. It’s great for camping, hiking, and horseback riding.
Chesterfield, the county seat, has a nice little downtown. You’ll see some beautiful old buildings there. The Great Pee Dee River forms the county’s eastern border and it’s a favorite spot for fishing and boating.
