Dane County, Wisconsin

Dane County is right in the middle of southern Wisconsin. It’s home to Madison, the state capital. The UW-Madison campus is on the shores of Lake Mendota. There’s always something going on. But it’s not all city life.
You’ve got farmland right next to tech startups. It’s an interesting blend. Outdoor recreation is big here, with five lakes in Madison alone. The Dane County Farmers’ Market is the largest producer-only farmers’ market in the U.S.
Winters are cold, but people here know how to have fun in the snow. It’s a progressive place, known for its bike-friendly roads and strong environmental policies. The food scene is top-notch too, with plenty of farm-to-table options. The county has a good mix of urban and rural areas.
