Gibson County sits in the heart of West Tennessee. It’s mostly flat land, prime for farming. The county’s been around since 1823, named after a soldier who fought under Andrew Jackson.
Humboldt, one of the bigger towns, hosts the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival each year. It’s a big deal around here. The county has a strong manufacturing base, with several factories providing jobs.
You’ll find some great catfish restaurants scattered throughout. Yep, it’s a local specialty. Trenton, the county seat, has a neat little downtown with some historic buildings. Football’s king here, with high school games drawing big crowds on Friday nights.
