Dyer County, Tennessee

Dyer County stretches across the northwestern corner of Tennessee. It’s flat land, perfect for farming. The Mississippi River forms its western border, separating it from Missouri.
Dyersburg is the county seat and is the beating heart of the area. Cotton’s been king here for a long time, but soybeans are giving it a run for its money these days. The county has some serious Civil War history. You can still visit old battlefields.
Reelfoot Lake formed by earthquakes way back when. Folks here take their barbecue seriously so don’t miss it if you visit. The summers are hot and humid, but winters are usually mild. It’s where tradition runs deep, but change is always on the horizon.
