Hancock County, West Virginia

Hancock County is West Virginia’s northernmost point. It’s a skinny strip of land, wedged between Ohio and Pennsylvania. The Ohio River is its western border.
It’s steel country. Or it was. Times have changed, but the grit remains. Weirton, the biggest city, tells that story. It’s not all industry because there’s natural beauty too. Tomlinson Run State Park is here.
The Mountaineer Casino brings in the crowds. It’s super popular around here. New Cumberland, the county seat, is small but proud. The whole county’s like that. Tough. Resilient. Always moving forward.
