Brooke County, West Virginia

Brooke County sits up in the Northern Panhandle, that skinny bit of West Virginia. It’s a sliver of land between Ohio and Pennsylvania. The Ohio River is its western border.
Wellsburg is the county seat and is an old riverboat town. It has more than its fair share of history. The county isn’t big, but it holds about 22,000 people. The people here are proud West Virginians.
Bethany College calls this place home and it’s been around since 1840. Industry has always been big here, including glass and steel. These days, it’s reinventing itself. They have stories to tell if you have time to listen.
