Livingston Parish, Louisiana

Livingston Parish is in southeastern Louisiana, right next door to Baton Rouge. It’s got a bit of everything… swamps, forests, and some killer fishing spots. The Amite and Tickfaw Rivers run through here.
Denham Springs is the biggest city and has a cute antique district that’s worth a look. Locals are proud of their Cajun heritage, and you can taste it in the food. Visitors love the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Area.
It’s quieter than New Orleans, that’s for sure. But it still has that Louisiana flavor. Oh, and if you’re into space stuff, check out the LIGO Livingston Observatory. They detect gravitational waves there.
