Love County, Oklahoma

Love County is down in south-central Oklahoma. The Red River forms the southern edge, right next to the Texas border in the south. Marietta’s the biggest town. Not huge, but cozy.
This county has some serious history. It’s named after a Chickasaw family, not the emotion. Oil’s been key here. Still is. Farmland covers this county. Cattle, too.
Lake Murray State Park is the largest green space in the county with some pretty decent fishing. The people are hardworking and down-to-earth. It’s quiet, but that’s part of the charm.
